I guess Thought Detox is coming to iPadOS 17, now that we have HealthKit on iPad. 🙂

I’m pretty much all-in on Arc as my primary browser at this point. I’ll admit, I’m still only using a fraction of its features, but it’s already a really nice experience.
(I wish it didn’t further Chromium’s hegemony, yeah, but I understand the choice from an ecosystem perspective.)

Cleaned out the bathroom sink’s P-trap all by myself, AMA.
(most of my answers will be “🤷🏻♂️”)
Highway speeds plus Quebec potholes equals no driving until I get a replacement tire installed on Monday. 😑
Finished linking angelo.land to my omg.lol page. Already thinking about what to do with subdomains and/or PURLs. 🤔
It just works.
The fact that I can’t migrate posts from one Mastodon account to another used to bug me a lot, but I’ve made peace with it—and understand the complexity constraining the feature.
It does, however, mean that I treat the platform as though content and instances may suddenly disappear without warning.
In contrast to my Mac’s battery life, my iPhone 12 Pro’s battery life is far from “all-day” — I’m often around 25% by the end of the work day.
(The bigger battery is one of the main reasons I’m considering an iPhone 15 Pro Max Ultra Superbiggo when it’s released this fall.)
One thing that dawned on me today: since getting my M1 Pro MacBook Pro, I almost never think about the battery when I’m out working at a café or whatever. It truly is all-day battery life.
Okay, I think I’m going to migrate my personal Mastodon presence (https://angelo.land/@angelostavrow) over to my social.lol profile (https://social.lol/@angelo) this week. I’m just not feeling the whole “run your own instance” thing.
Sucks that you can’t bring your toots with you, but whatever. 🤷
I have an old but pretty high-end-ish CD player that I’m looking to sell, but have a feeling there’s no real market for it. 🤔
Mid-May and we woke up to a frost warning today. Honestly a little disappointed that it didn’t snow, because that would just be typical of spring in Montreal.
Having to upgrade a server reminds me of that old adage, “don’t run your own servers if you don’t have to.”
This shit has not gotten better in the last 20 years.
I had no idea that Montreal adopted a bylaw banning unsolicited advertising mail, effective next week.
If you want to receive junk mail, you’ll have to opt-in by putting a sticker on your mailbox.
My wife and I are both signed into our Apple TV. I get prompted to connect my AirPods without issue, but the Apple TV can’t even see hers. I’m the default user but she’s watching under her Apple ID/profile. What are we doing wrong?
No longer cross-posting stuff from my blogs to Twitter. Still not sure what I want to do with my account, maybe make it private until a decision is made.
I need to rework angelostavrow.dev and could use some inspiration! Show me your favourite developer home/landing pages?
Merlin would like to have a word.
Updated my BlueSky handle to use my own domain — find me here: bsky.app/profile/a…
My status.lol RSS feed gets cross-posted via Micro.blog but, oddly, only on BlueSky does a link to the status post get appended — ideally, it wouldn’t.
Checking out BlueSky. Find me here!
🚴♂️ Really enjoying the Apple Fitness+ cycling sessions, except for the fact that I hate cardio and biking and exercising
That’s kinda… unexpected.
Bought a year of omg.lol, and I’m loving the aesthetic of the service(s). It offers a suite of services — a profile page, a /now
page, a status log, a URL shortener, a blog, &cet. that are pretty quick and easy to set up, but I’ve yet to dive into how much customization is possible.
